Multiple profiles, multiple functionality!

Hello!

Dear users perhaps you notice that your sites were changed slightly. MyLivePage was updated, a lot of new features were made and previous bugs were fixed.

The biggest and most important changing, we hope you have appreciate it, is multiple profiles. If you have sign up for MyLivePage you can create one or more additional profiles for example:

family
professional
company
social

Which advantages does it grant? If you register one or more additional profiles you can:

- add new entries (pictures, files, text, comments) on different sites on behalf of one of your profiles

- have separate list of friends for each profile

- set any language supported by the system for each profile

So having some profiles you can separate your family, professional and personal interests easily.

Now "Control panel" is represented by two alternative modes:

- short

- extended

Short mode of "Control panel" consists of minimum necessary functions which is needed for beginner. Shifting between two modes implements by clicking link in "Control panel". Extended mode of "Control panel" saves all functions which have been available before update.

The process of adding new entries on site was simplify. To add new entries in any section of site just click "Add on site" link and select entry type which you want to upload. This link is available from "User" block or top panel.

The list of file types which can be watched from site was increased. This list consists the following file extensions:*.mov,*.3gp ,*.flv ,*.asf ,*.3g2 ,*.3gp2 ,*.3gpp ,*.asx, *.d2v, *.dat ,*.divx ,*.dvx ,*.m1v ,*.m21 ,*.m2v ,*.m4e ,*.m4v ,*.mkv ,*.mov ,*.movie, *.mp21 ,*.mpe ,*.ogm ,*.qt ,*.rm ,*.rmvb ,*.rv ,*.tivo ,*.vob ,*.wm ,*.xvid.

The form of comments adding for unauthorized users was improved. Unauthorized user can leave comment on behalf of one of his profile or anonymous selecting one of alternative tabs which are on each site.

You can review entry before adding it on site. To do this click "Preview" button.

Now you can control content of friends' updates on your site. If you don't like content of friends' entries foe example your friend add spam or adult material just remove him from friends' list and all entries will be deleted from friends' updates.

By the popular demand we reeduce latency period during file downloading from 30 sek to 10 sek.

Do you use system search engine often or very often? Special for you we give an opportunity to integrate MyLivePage engine into browser. So you can search content through whole system dont visiting site.

We aim at simplifying MyLivePage system and make it more convenient for users that don't have special knowledge and experience in IT. We improve site interface so new user who have just signed in for MyLivePage can add pictures, files and entries without any efforts. There is link "Add" in "What's new?" page, this link adds any entries on site.

We receive a lot of letters with your requests to tell you, our dear users, how to add video from other sites like youtube.com, rutube.ru, flickr.com, smotri.com to site in MyLivePage system. We wish to improve our system and make it easier so we add an opportunity to add video from external resource effortlessly. It's easy to add video - use spacial sign when editing the pages, full instruction is here. You can also add video in "What's new section?" in concordance with instruction.

Attention! Presented list of sites is not full so we give you an opportunity to add new resources to this list just write us through "Help" link.

Hello! Dear MyLivePage users! We take new large step to system improving, the goal of this update is to provide privacy of our users and we improve antispam system.

By popular demand of our users we add an opportunity to hide information in your profile in full or in part. You also can set rights to watching of your profile for different groups of users, for example, for moderators, friends, registered users or for all.

We created antispam system which wasn't too convenient for users that take active part in sites, leave comments and chat in messenger, so we implement new improving antispam system which fight with spam and convenient for users.

In previous update we add an opportunity "to create folder in flight" when you add upload pictures in "Picture" folder. We broaden this feature for all sections of your site.

We also fix previous bugs, in particular, we restore an opportunity to add comments in the "Wall" for anonymous.

Hello, folks!

We are happy to present you improvements and fixes of our system:

now when you downloading files and pictures you can enter a new folder name which will be created . In future it will be implemented for all available sections
Also now you can download interesting file or image directly to your site - enter URL of this item in download form and it will be uploaded!
Image tags' possibilities are expanded a lot! You can point out your friend, any other user of our system or to any email with description. All these persons will be notified about every related tag's changes
some little problems were corrected and different small features were added:

avatar for blocked user will not be displayed
in picture view some changes in thumbnail list were made - current image was marked and links to pervious/next items were added
in topic you can now click on link "To list" for going out to topic list
was added possibility to ban a big subnet, for example 192.168.0.0
the errors in community invitations were fixed
wiki headings tags like == HEADING == is now correctly displayed

New skins and "Brands" block

Hello! Dear users! We want to bring you wonderful news! By popular demand we add new designs for your sites. This news is more wonderful because these new skins are available for all users both paid and unpaid.

We update "About site owner" section, in which "Brands" block was added, this block is filled by site owner and appears on site after entries addition. To add new entries enter Control panel - My profile - Edit my profile go to "Brands" tab. To add brand you should choose "Category" to which it concerns then to enter brand's name click "Add". You can add any numbers of brands which appear on "About site owner" automatically.

Attention! What do brands mean for you? Clicking to brand added by you you can see all users that add the same entry on their sites. So you can know whether it popular among other users or you make some decision on any brands clicking brands cloud on top menu.

If you have IN A entry in DNS settings you should change from 66.220.9.xxx to 69.80.205.140 but we recommend you to write CNAME partners.mylivepage.net not to depend on ip changes in our system.
If you have CNAME partners.mylivepage.net entry you should change nothing
If you have NS1/NS2 you should change from NS1 66.220.9.72 to NS1 69.80.205.171

There is new update in our system: we add new opportunity to tag your pictures. What does it mean? I explain, for example, if you have corporate blog and upload colleagues' photos so now you can tag the photos and favorite pictures and add comments to these tags. Our team has took an advantage of new feature so let me introduce MyLivePage team:

As it was said in news we create new system of MLP crediting wich has already come into force. Early we add long-expected prizes on auction and opportunity earned MLP in money equivalent. In accordance with new concept of MLP crediting site owner which invite new user to the system and this user creates an account and develops his site will get MLP in rate of 10 MLP. Soon we will tell you all conditions Of MLP crediting.
We have fixed previous bugs in the system,in particular, you can block user by IP, we have improved access rights manager and others.

Hello, Dear Users! We are glad to inform you about updating of MyLivePage system to which was added new interesting features.

We add two new blocks to «What's new?» section:

«About website owner» block where personal information about site owner and «send message to site owner» link are appeared so your site visitors can connect with you through e-mail. You can hide this block by request.
«My wall» block where any site visitors can leave the comments or any useful information. You can forbid to leave comments for unregistered users or hide this block by request.

You have an opportunity to watch information about your friends directly on site in «Friends» section or Control panel > My friends. On this page you can see friends' list with avatars and personal information. More over serfing the sites in MyLivePage system you can watch all friends of site where you are now and also common friends.
«About site owner» interface was improved now all information is appeared in compact blocks.

Good Day, Dear MyLivePage users! We want to tell you about new changes in our system whereto the new social features have been added and more:

- Surfing MyLivePage sites pay attention to "Friends" block so it has been enlarged with the new list of "Common friends" which is situated in your friends' list and friends' list of site where you are now.

- When you import address book on your site the system find e-mails' owners that registered in MyLivePage system and add them into your friends' list. Do your friends have sites in our system? :) - visit them!

- Do you visit forums and other services often? Do you send comments and watch answers? Are you active user? So special for you we added new feature: points the unread topic or topic with new comments.

- We try to make our system more comfortable and easier for users that don't have specific knowledge in IT field. We don't bring you to study html to add picture on page of your site we make the system more understandable and easier:

Hello! Dear MyLivePage users! We are glad to pronounce on new system updating which was expected so much.

According to your advices the entries show on the page was improved, so now you can choose the mode of the entries show on the page among the following alternatives:

1. "Short" - pictures are displayed without any housekeeping information 2. "Medium" - conform to type which was before previous updating 3. "Full" - by default

More over you can choose different modes of the entries show on the page for each section like "Picture" or "File archive" so changings in the entries show becomes more than pleasantly.

Editing of menu "Navigation" was improved therefore we are sure that editing of menu "Navigation" become more easily and comfortable.

We improve usability of "About site owner"section. Representation of information become structure and clear. Now you can edit your information directly on this section during observing.

The new updating of our system

Good Day!

We are glad to pronounce on new updating of our system. A number of new features and advantages of the system was added according to the our users' wishes.

First of all search was improved.So you can indicate section type where you want to find some entry, for example, you can look for entry among "Pictures", "Files", "News", "Forum". Looking for some entry through "Search" block on site you stay on the same site.

Banner editor for paid users was improved. We hope that banner adding will be easier.

New wiki-tags was added:

is very useful for forum talking when you want to turn to interlocutor.

The users can specify information about their work experience. This information will be shown in "About site owner" section. In addition new tab was added in search page so you can find out former workmates if they are registered in our system.

Shows of the entries (pictures, files, blogs) was changed.

Also previous mistakes was corrected.

We have added lots of little nice changes.

1 We have designed "New Visitors" block which shows the last 5 visitors attended your site. If you create your own design new block can be added by yourself by the instrumentality of tag @MLP_LAST_VISITORS@

2 "Get URL tag" block isn't only one for all design types as it was before

3 The internal search engine was updated so the search result displays pictures, video and audio files.

4 "What's new" block was improved - you can find out reference to download file in middle- and large-size block - reference to comments was added for "Pages" block - big-size pictures are displayed in two rows

5 LJ synchronization was changed - If user don't login to own site for a month LJ import stops by the next login - users' permissions management was corrected. For example, for common notes in LJ the import folder permissions correspond to the target folder permissions, on other hand for private and friendly notes the folder permissions are minimal so notes can be read by owner only - LJ import was improved so MP3 flash player exist everywhere

6 Friends' list was updated - friends' list is sorted alphabetically - the number of friends is displayed in friends' list

In this block you can publish what you want in perfect way. You can remove the blocks add new and previous notes, change the block size. About a Calendar, pages navigation and rating for the contents of a site

Well, we have added a Calendar, and now you can see updating in any day, month or year. For this purpose you should go in some section, what interesting for you, where some numbers become as links in a Calendar, so you can see any updating of those day.

Also we have replaced navigation on pages of '[1], [2], [3]' kind to 'Next', 'Last', 'First' and 'Previous' kind, so there are improved parameters of speed due to this.

There is an opportunity to estimate the contents of sites. Now all visitors can estimate your images, pages etc. You can switch on/switch off it in 'Edit my settings'.

At last, we have added 'Popular users', 'Popular communities', 'Popular documents' as special sections, where you can see a rating as marks sum given by visitors.

There is "On other sites" block and access rights for already exist entries in folder

We have added "On other sites" block, in which updates of other sites are displayed. Some contents of this block varies, when you come into other section of your site, as it does transmit updates of an appropriate section. For example, you will see new images of other users, when will you go in your Images section. It will help you to find people with close interests. You can choose "Edit my settings" item in the control panel and disconnect this block.

Also we have added "Set access rights for already exist entries in folder" option at editing folders. Now you can to fix access rights not only for new documents.
