This page contains guidance on how to create site in MylivePage system. This guidance is answers to Frequently Asked Questions of our users and it is divided into three large sections:

3. Common questions
Menu "Navigation" and "Control panel" are the main tools for managing of site in our system. The structure of this guidance corresponds to the order of element's appearance on site so you will find what you need without an effort. Please use interactive index and navigation points ↓ and ↑ for the site navigation. We recommend a new user to look through this guidance fully so they can evaluate all functions of the system.
The system is updating all the time and new features are appearing so here you can find out new answers to your questions. If you didn't find answer to your question on this page please ask it on forum and moderators answer soon. The most interesting and topical questions will enlarge this guidance.

How to insert advertising on my site in every page of my site if I ain't paid userYou have an oportunity to add advertising banner in "Description" block of each section ("Description" blok is a top part of page where avatar is located). You can change your personal information in "About me" tab. If you look for somebody there is large quantity of users' application for dating in MyLivePage system. To take part in "Dating" search pass to "Personal" tab and put a tick near the "Participate in people search:" and also you can fill the application bellow so someone can find out you. You have an opportunity to find your former classmates or co-worker if they register in our system or someone can find out you just fill the application in "Education" tab. What is avatar and how to change itAn avatar is computer user's representation of himself or herself (150x50px and no more then 40Kb) which displayed in "Description" block on site, Internet forums of MyLivePage system. It can be your photo or any picture refered to the personality connected with the screen name, or handle, of an Internet user. Control panel > My profile > Edit my avatar(picture)
Click "View" - select file which will bee your avatar (file with *.jpg *gif or *.png extension) - click "Upload". Edit user's settingsHow to change site language and editor typeControl panel > My profile > Edit my settings
"Common" tab is loaded by default on this page you can change site language, editor type for example wiki or tiny-mce, enter keyword through comma seargh engine, enter site nime which displayed in the top bar of the browser. Pass to the "Extra" tab, clean the ticks near the unnecessary elements in "Blocks show" block. On this page you can put off notification receiving and etc. How to change passwordControl panel > My profile > Change password
We recomend to think up sufficiently difficult password (no less then 6 characters) including lower case characters "abc...", upper case characters "ABC...", numbers "123..." and other simbols like ",./\!@#$%^&()+=*'";:". Enter current password - enter new password - submit new password - click change password. How to restore passwordTo restore forgotten password: 1. Click "Forgot password?" in "User" block:
2. Enter your login and e-mail used on site into the following form. 3. Letter containing link for e-mail changing will be sent to your e-mail. Click sent link. 4. After clicking you appear on your site as administrator. Password on your site is changed automaticaly. 5. Enter new password into the field on site. How to change e-mailControl panel > My profile > Change password
Enter new e-mail - enter symbols shiwn on picture - click "Change e-mail". Your e-mail was changed, letter with activation link will be send on new e-mail, click this link to activate your new e-mail. If your e-mail was not activated beforeYou have to receive the letter with the link activation. If you don't receive this letter during 24 hours after registration verify "Spam" folder of your mail may be your mail system have recognized it as "Spam". You can use and develop your site without activation but: - You cann't restore yor site password in case of password loss - You cann't receive some important notification of MyLivePage system If you have not activated e-mail and have deleted the letter with link: Control panel > Send link for activation E-mail again
Note "Send link for activation E-mail again" will be shown in "Control panel" up to e-mail activating How to change my site domainTo change site domain (make it easier and memorable), for example, enter domain.com instead of site_name.mylivepage.ru you have to bee an owner of the second-level domain. It means that you have to be owner oa domain.com and can control it. If you have second-level domain: 1. Enter the following rules in the DNS settings: " domain.com CNAME partners.mylivepage.net " и " www.domain.com CNAME partners.mylivepage.net " (without "") . This rules meant that all query will be redirected in our system. 2. Control panel > My profile > Change password
Enter new domain in the field and click "Save". TrafficWhat maximal size of one downloading file is allowed50Mb is allowed for one downloading file. What total capacity given every user for files and pictures is allowed1024 Mb or 1 Gb is total capacity given every user for files and pictures. What is my site traffic? What does it mean for meEach user get 2Gb of traffic which he can spend for the next 7 days.It means that visitors of your site can download and upload pictures and files and total capacity of this traffic is 2 Gb. The total traffic is 4Gb. If user spend his traffic evenly then system add new portion of weekly traffic (is 1/7 part of weekly trffic). But if you spend your weekly quota for one day it need to wait for 6 days when our system add traffic. Can I redistribute my trafffic between pictures and filesHow to know my site trafficThere are two ways to know the site statistics: 1. Control panel > My profile > Traffic
You can know your site traffic made outlays for files and pictures for the last 7 days and also future traffic. 2. Go to "Pcture" and "File archive" section, in the end of this page you can see your site traffic Paid user. How to get "Privileged user" statusIf you make outlays weekly trafiic and need more then 1 Gb of disc space for your files and pictures so you have an opportunity to buy "Privileged user" status i.e. buy "Beginner" or "Professional" tariff. Besides additional traffic and disc space you get the following benefits: - Insert your advertising on site (Google) - Switch off system advertising - Download all files from sites made outlays weekly traffic - Download file in case of disconnect - Upload zip-archive - Create your own icons To buy "Beginner" or "Professional" tariff: Control panel > My profile > Pay

What template elements may you change? how to do it without html tags.It's impossible to edit template by html tags. But you have an opportunity to edit different template elements, for example font style and color, link color and other. Drag and drop needed element on appopriate place. You can reset all changes to an initial condition at any point by clicking "Reset Changes". If you wanr to save changes click "Save".
What is Favicon and how to change it on your websiteA favicon - short for 'favorites icon' - also known as a website icon, page icon or urlicon, is an icon associated with a particular website or webpage ( Paid users can change their favicon: Control panel > Design > Edit favicon
Click "View", select your favicon.ico created by yourself before, click "Upload". Right here you can find out useful source which can help you to create your own one. What can they do on my site?Moderators are the special group of users which have the privileges. These privileges depend on rights given the moderators by you. Moderators of en.mylivepage.com can: 1. Ban users 2. Delete the comments 3. Delete the messages in chat The site owner can point the moderators for his/her site and give them appropriate rights with help of "Access right manager". To add user to moderators' list: Control panel > Security > Appoint moderators
There are two ways to add users into moderators' list: - put up the tick near the necessary users and click "Save" - enter user's name and domain manually and click "Add moderator". User appointed to moderator ia addedto the friends' list automatically. How to appoint the administrators on site. What can they do on my site?Administrator has the same rights as the site owner. The owner can point administrator on his/her site for example to solve some problem. Control panel > Security > Admininstrators' list
You can see administrators' list and edit it on this page. To add administrator eneter user's name and domain click "Add administrator". Click How to verify sites lists where I am administratorControl panel > Security > Admininstrators' list
On this page you can verify list of sites where you are administrator, remove yourself from administrators' lists and switch on/off receiving of the notification from sites where you are administrator. Access right managerControl panel > Security > Admininstrators' list
On this page you can grant to the different users' groups the rights to reading, deleting, editing, adding of new entries in the following sections: "Picture", "File archive", "Blog", "Forum", "Pages", "Links". There are four users' groups created by default: registered users, friends, moderators, plain users. Put up the tick the section where you grant the rights, put up the tick the rights for appropriate users' group, click "Submit".
My contactsI want to receive this site's updates by mailYou have an opportunity to receive the updates of favorite sites by e-mail. Enter your e-mail for example name@mail.com in "Subscription" block on farite site and click "Subscribe":
Attention! Click the raference in the letter sent to your e-mail to submit subscription. The site's owner can see the list of his/her subscribers. I want that my friends receive my site updates by e-mailYou have your site and upload interesting content on it so you want to inform your friends by e-mail about it. Attention! This entry have status "not confirmed". The e-mail owner have to submit he want to receive your site's updates by clicking on the link in the letter sent to his e-mail. 2. Automatically (all e-mais will be imported from address book of your mail box): - select domain of your e-mail from scroll list - enter your login and e-mail's password:
- click "Import", our system load all e-mails in address book of your mail box. Attention! This entry have status "not confirmed". The e-mails' owners have to submit they want to receive your site's updates by clicking on the link in the letter sent to their e-mail. Click Friends' listWhat does "site is in friends' list" mean?If your site isn't community you can add another sites in to your friends' list and also another users can add your site in their friends' lists. If you add any site in your "My friends" list you can: 1. receive updates of frind's site in your frinds' line directly on your site. Click "Friends" section in menu "Navigation" to see all updates of your frinds' sites. 2. Grant to group of friends the right to reading, editing, deleting and adding of entries in each section. Where can I see the list of my friends?Your friends' list and list of sites where you are in friends' lists are located in "About site owner" in menu "Navigation". How to edit friends' listThere are two ways to edit friends' list: 1. Being on sites of another users click 2. Control panel > My contacts > Edit friends' list
On this page click "Add user as a friend", enter login and domain click "Ok". There are two ways to remove site from "My friends" list: 1. Click "about site owner" in menu "Navigation", click 2. Control panel > My contacts > Edit friends' list
Click the user name which you want to remove click "Remove friend from the list", click ok Attention! You cann't edit "Friend of:" list SubscriptionI posted the comment on another site and now want to get answers another users' comments in that topicControl panel > My contacts > Subscription
On this page "Entries" tab is shown by default where you can see new entries which were posted by another users in that topic where you posted your comments for example on forum. Also you get the same "Entries" in e-mail (if it's activated). These entries come by default. To cancel a subscribtion clean the tick "I want to get comments' notification on e-mail". On this page page pass to "Sites" tab to see list of subscription to sites entered by you. You also can enter a subscription to site: enter site name and domain and click "Subscription to site":

Ban users on my siteSite owner can forbit users: 1. to send messages to your messenger 2. to go to chat 3. to edit, add/remove the entries for users whose can do it There are two ways to ban users: 1. by login 2. by ip (An IP address - Internet Protocol address - is a unique address that certain electronic devices use in order to identify and communicate with each other on a computer network utilizing the Internet Protocol standard (IP)—in simpler terms, a computer address.). if you ban user by ip nobody from the same net can do anything on your site Control panel > My contacts > Banned users

Decrease the security level in Internet Explorer What do terms "EROTICA", "PORNO" AND "FOR ADULTS" mean in our system?"PORNO" means pictures and video of genital organs and coitus Attention! The sites containing: - banners and references to porno sites - drawn porno pictures - zip porno files are numbered among "PORNO". The moderators working here block sites containing "PORNO". Materials "FOR ADULTS" mean "EROTICA". "EROTICA" means pictures of naked woman bosom. Sites containing files "FOR ADULTS" aren't blocked but they don't take part in rating. If your site was moved to "FOR ADULTS" and you wanna come back to rating you need: - remove erotic files - click "About the website owner" - "Adult Materials | Abuse" Attention! Click this reference only once. We see all messages it needn't ro report about it scores of times. If nothing changes and your site isn't moved, please, verify thoroughly may be you lost some erotic files remove them and try to click "Adult Materials | Abuse" again. What should you do if your site was blocked by Administration?We can block site if it contains pictures, video, audio and other information - are protected by copyright (the rightholder report the infringement of copyright to us) - containing "PORNO" - subjecting to propaganda of the violence and racial discrimination To unblock the site you need: - remove unallowable information - report it to Administration - Administration will unblock your site If you always break the rules we block your site forever.
Why JavaScript is disallowed on my pages. Can I get JavaScript enabled if I become payed user ?We have to disallow JavaScript for security purposes. If JavaScript is enabled for web site it can be used to read cookies, containing authentication information, which could lead to account being compromised.
